GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about wildfire risk, our process, and what it takes to protect your property.

Is wildfire really a risk in Arizona?

Yes. Communities across Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Carefree, Cave Creek, Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Globe, and Superior sit directly against desert terrain, foothills, or mountain vegetation. That's a real wildland-urban interface, and dry fuel plus wind-driven embers can put homes at risk even without direct flame contact.

Do HOA communities require wildfire mitigation?

Many HOAs strongly encourage or require vegetation management to keep common areas and individual lots compliant with community and fire-safety standards. We work directly with HOA boards and property managers to plan and document that work.

Will mitigation ruin the look of my property?

No. Proper mitigation enhances appearance while improving safety. Our crews are trained to remove what's actually a fire hazard — dead material, ladder fuels, overgrown brush — without stripping a property bare or leaving it looking over-trimmed.

How often does my property need maintenance?

Most properties benefit from our Wildfire Defense Program — annual or year-round protection, depending on vegetation density. Denser desert growth and faster-growing landscaping typically call for year-round protection visits; lower-density properties often do fine on an annual plan.

What's included in a Wildfire Risk Report?

We walk your entire property in person and evaluate fuel load, ladder fuels, defensible space gaps, and vegetation proximity to structures. You leave with a clear picture of your actual risk and a scoped plan to address it — not a generic checklist.

What does a Property Reset include?

A Property Reset is a full-property transformation: complete vegetation correction across the entire lot, not just spot clearing. It's the level of work required for a property to be eligible for our Wildfire Defense Certificate.

What is the Wildfire Defense Certificate?

Properties that complete a full Property Reset may qualify for a Wildfire Defense Certificate. It reflects that the property has undergone full vegetation correction, defensible space principles have been applied, and fire risk has been significantly reduced. It doesn't guarantee insurance benefits, but it can help demonstrate proactive risk management to insurers and buyers. Learn more here.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Carefree, Cave Creek, Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Globe, Superior, and surrounding Arizona communities.

Do you work with commercial, ROW, or utility clients?

Yes. In addition to residential and HOA work, we handle right-of-way and utility corridor clearing, large-acreage projects, and other commercial-scale vegetation management with the equipment and crew capacity to match the scope.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing depends on property size, vegetation density, and scope of work. We quote every project after an on-site Wildfire Risk Report, so you get a number based on your property, not a generic estimate.
